Motorcycle

I read a lot about motorcycles
When i was a kid
From the same paperbacks
As my parents did
A big two-wheeled machine
Running wild and free
Up and down the backroads
Of the big country
There not easy to fix
But they're easy to work on
If you don't mind dying
They can be a lot of fun
They're easy to buy
But they can cost you everything
We killed all the cowboys
But we can still pretend
That we're the pirates that we want to be
On the holiday weekends
I been down too long
It's time to be free
At least on my way to work
Or coming home from the grocery
There not easy to fix
But they're easy to work on
If you don't mind dying
They can be a lot of fun
They're easy to buy
But they can cost you everything
Sounds good to me
Well it sounds a little lonely
I tell you what I'm gonna do
I'm gonna get me a sidecar
And see if you'll come too
There not easy to fix
But they're easy to work on
If you don't mind dying
They can be a lot of fun
They're easy to buy
But they can cost you everything
Sounds good to me

Boat

Put the lifevest on the dog
It's time to go sailing
We got the salt spray in our face
As we look over the railing
We'll get some distance from the shore
And then we'll grab some sun
I brought a book for reading
When the napping's done
There's nothing
That I would rather do
Than set a course for nowhere
With my crew
I don't care to say
What gets my goat
But being on the water
Floats my boat
I've brought a picnic basket
With some sandwiches inside
We got crackers spreads and breads
Some of which i've never tried
There's a little igloo
I've installed in the hold
To help steady the ship
And to keep the high life cold
There's nothing
That I would rather do
Than set a course for nowhere
With my crew
I don't care to say
What gets my goat
But being on the water
Floats my boat
I'm gonna catch some shimmers
With my shaded eyes
I won't forget my troubles
But I'm sure gonna try
Cause out here
I'm a captain
On there I'm a number
2 feet on the land is as good
As 6 foot under
There's nothing
That I would rather do
Than set a course for nowhere
With my crew
I don't care to say
What gets my goat
But being on the water
Floats my boat

Pickup

Can you pick me up in your pickup truck
'Cause party time is over
And I'm a long way from sober
And from home
We can breakdown my last breakdown
And find a new way from there
A new solution a new repair
But we'll find out
Can I break into your broken heart
And convince you to come this way
I know it's cold and late
And it's hard to start
Well you showed me up when you showed up
Me of so little faith
But i've always been that way
Sometimes it's enough
And I just been
Turning all my weekends into school days
Paying for the changes that I haven't made
And I could use someone to pick me up
